Honour Killing of Women
There are killings and there are honour killings.
There are killings by your rival tribes and there are killings by your family members.
There are murders by your enemies and there are murders by your relatives.
There are murders by people who hate you and there are murders by people who supposedly love you.

Peace Makers
While in every community, country and culture, there are people who have violent consciousness and create conflict and war, there are others who promote harmony and peace. Some of them create peace in their families, schools and local communities, while others create peace at a national and international level because they want to be part of creating a peaceful world together.

After my lecture in the Humanist Association of Toronto last month, one of the ladies present asked me, “If you do not believe in God, prophets, religions, divine revelations and day of judgment, then as atheists, agnostics, freethinkers and humanists, where do you get your guidance from? Human Psyche: Soul or Mind?
There was a time in history when human psyche was believed to be a soul. Religious people believed that soul was independent and existed prior to the existence of the body. It entered human fetus at certain stage of development, stayed in the body throughout life and left at the time of death to go back to the world of souls, so that it could be judged on the Day of Judgment and enter hell or heaven depending on its good and bad deeds. Such a concept of soul was predominantly popular in Christian, Jewish and Muslim communities.
